The remap file is written by a calibrator for your exact software on the Bosch MEVD17.2 / Siemens/Continental MSD80 / Siemens/Continental MSD81 and returned through the portal, normally within 5–15 minutes. Who is this remap for?
Naturally aspirated petrol engines gain less than turbo engines, but a remap still improves throttle response and smooths out flat spots in the power delivery. 306 → 362 bhp equals roughly 228 → 270 kW.
