Our Stage 1 tuning file takes the Volkswagen Golf 2.3 VR5 150bhp from 150 bhp and 205 Nm to 165 bhp and 225 Nm – that's +15 bhp (10%) and +20 Nm more. The remap file is written by a calibrator for your exact software on the Bosch M3.8.3 and returned through the portal, normally within 5–15 minutes. Who is this remap for?
Naturally aspirated petrol engines gain less than turbo engines, but a remap still improves throttle response and smooths out flat spots in the power delivery. 150 → 165 bhp equals roughly 112 → 123 kW.
