Our Stage 1 tuning file takes the Vauxhall Astra 1.8i 16v 115bhp from 115 bhp and 170 Nm to 125 bhp and 185 Nm – that's +10 bhp (9%) and +15 Nm more. The remap file is written by a calibrator for your exact software on the Siemens/Continental SIMTEC 70 / Siemens/Continental SIMTEC 71 and returned through the portal, normally within 5–15 minutes. Solutions such as DPF / EGR solutions can go into the same file.
Who is this remap for?
Naturally aspirated petrol engines gain less than turbo engines, but a remap still improves throttle response and smooths out flat spots in the power delivery. 115 → 125 bhp equals roughly 86 → 93 kW.
Figures are guide values from our rolling road and comparable vehicles. Results depend on the vehicle's condition, hardware and fuel quality. Remapping in the UK: let your insurer know about the modification. DPF, EGR and AdBlue solutions are supplied for off-road and motorsport use only and are not legal for use on UK roads.
